MemoryPort Frequently Asked Questions

General Questions About the Transition

  • LifeWeb 360 was acquired by HistoryIT in late 2025 to ensure that the stories shared on the platform could be preserved with long-term care and stewardship.

LifeWeb 360 was created to help communities come together to honor a loved one through shared memories and reflection. HistoryIT’s acquisition ensures these stories are preserved within the broader legacy of the communities that shaped them — carrying this work forward with care, intention, and a commitment to long-term accessibility.

If you previously used LifeWeb 360, you should have received a notification in February 2025 from LifeWeb 360’s Founder, Ali Briggs, sharing news of the acquisition and the changes being made to the platform.

By bringing LifeWeb 360 into HistoryIT’s preservation-focused ecosystem, these personal tributes are now supported by a structured, sustainable framework designed to protect and organize community memory for generations to come.

  • MemoryPort is a digital commemoration and engagement platform designed for member-based and people-centered organizations. While LifeWeb 360 supported both organizational group commemorations and standalone individual tribute pages, MemoryPort now focuses exclusively on helping organizations preserve and honor the collective history of their communities. Individual tribute pages are no longer offered independently.

MemoryPort brings tributes, memories, and milestones together within a branded, searchable Commemoration Site that reflects the shared culture and legacy of an organization’s broader community. Unlike the previous standalone model, MemoryPort integrates with HistoryIT’s digital archive software, Odyssey Preservation, to ensure these stories are preserved to professional standards — safeguarding them as part of the organization’s enduring institutional memory.

  • MemoryPort is now offered exclusively as an organization-focused platform and is no longer available as a free product for individuals. As part of this transition, new individual tribute pages are no longer being created.

If You Created a Personal Tribute Page
(Not Affiliated with an Organization)

  • Yes. If you created a personal tribute page that was not affiliated with an organization, you will continue to have access to the tribute page through the end of 2026. During this extended transition period, you may log in to review your page, download content, and take any steps you feel are appropriate before the platform is deactivated.

If you previously used LifeWeb 360, you should have received notification in February 2025 from LifeWeb 360’s Founder, Ali Briggs, sharing news of the acquisition and the changes being made to the platform.

  • Personal tribute pages will remain accessible through the end of 2026. At that time, LifeWeb 360 will be officially deactivated as part of the transition to MemoryPort.

This transition timeline was communicated in February 2025 by LifeWeb 360’s Founder, Ali Briggs, to ensure families and page creators have the opportunity to review and download shared memories.

  • To ensure clarity and consistency in the long-term preservation of tribute pages through LifeWeb 360’s partnership with the Internet Archive, the ability to post new updates, add memories, or comment on existing memories for personal tribute pages not affiliated with an organization has been discontinued.

Tribute pages that met eligibility criteria prior to October 15, 2025 (those containing at least one shared memory and/or a written obituary at that time) were preserved in the archived record. Disabling new contributions ensures that no additional content is added beyond what was included in that preservation capture.

You may continue to access your tribute page and download existing content through the end of 2026. Eligible pages will remain accessible through the Internet Archive in the form captured prior to February 1, 2026.

  • LifeWeb 360 partnered with the Internet Archive to preserve tribute pages that contained one or more shared memories and/or a written obituary prior to February 1, 2026.

After 2026, eligible pages can be accessed by searching your loved one’s name within the LifeWeb 360 collection on the Internet Archive:

    Visit the Internet Archive

While no website can guarantee permanent availability, this archival preservation ensures that many tribute pages will remain publicly accessible as part of a long-term digital record.
